From Mom: Day 13
by Nora Shourd
Lost my bearings today, lost my way. Cindy is doing her energy work and I am doing my connecting with them, especially nightly; but last night I felt like I couldn’t hear, couldn’t reach her.
Today the world sounds chatty. Even the soft voices are chatter today. Well’s run dry, the jury’s way out. This is going to be a protracted struggle. Sarah, I know you’re hunkering down, and I have been too; but this is the biggest fight of our lives yet.
I want to put myself in that cell instead of you…I want you out of harm’s way. I have everything here: pen and paper, water, air, sunshine, coffee, good food, friends, pictures, memories. I have everything but you. It was so different when you were in Syria because I knew you to be safe and happy.
Guy walking by singing, we all need somebody to lean on, lean on me girl, I am strong for you even in my weakness, I am strong…
